Just get it to level 50 before you augment to knock out that last task for the season. Doesn't really matter that much if you're really only doing it to finish the task. Level it and use it to augment whatever piece you want. So I'd say just use any "extra" legendary you don't use in your build. Of course you only need ONE to finish off that task for the Season. You can then run GRs to level up all of those duplicates to augment your gear pieces. Now you'll have several of the same gem in your inventory. Then you can pick them all up (don't forget to do this before leaving/quitting the game or you'll lose them all). Rinse and repeat to get as many duplicates of the gem. Now you have 2 of the same gem on the ground in town. Go back to town and drop that new one on the ground as well. Then when you run another GR you'll get that gem as a reward after killing the rift guardian. Since it's on the ground in town it will seem to the game like you don't own that gem. You can throw that gem on the ground in town (remove it from your stash and inventory). So level up that legendary gem and use it to augment. Primal Puzzle Rings do not open Primal Vaults, they currently only open Ancient Vaults.You have legendary gems that you aren't using for your current build (and probably never will use). Note: Ancient Puzzle Rings will open Ancient Vaults with mobs of Goblins and much more loot. When the timer expires the Portal will close, allowing you to open a new Portal to The Vault, provided you have more Puzzle Rings. You have a full minute to pick up the loot that drops from the Chest. As soon as you click on Greed’s Strongbox (the large Chest) a sixty-second timer will start. Only option is to remove and back out of kanais cube. It says select gems, but theres no gems to select. When I use kanais cube to try to augment, itll allow me to select the sword, but thats it.
I have three flawless royal rubies and the ancient legendary blackguard sword. Make sure you pick up all the items and Gold that drop during the battle with Greed first. Running a paragon 206 Crusader on torment 7. Even after you kill Greed, the Portal will stay open. This Portal will stay open indefinitely, so you can make trips back to town to empty your Inventory if needed. If you place a Puzzle Ring in Kanai’s Cube, with no other items or Mats, and click the Transmute button, it will open a Portal in town to The Vault. Equipping a Puzzle Ring is no longer beneficial to players.
